Visa on arrival
AGCC Residents who are not GCC nationals but who have a high professional status such as company managers, business people, auditors, accountants, doctors, engineers, pharmacists, or employees working in the public sector, their families, drivers and personal staff sponsored by them, are eligible for a non-renewable 30-day visa upon arrival at the approved ports of entry.
National citizens of the following countries: UK(with the right of abode in UK), France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Finland, Spain, Monaco, Vatican, Iceland, Andorra, San Marino, Liechtenstein, United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and holders of Hong Kong SAR passports will be granted a free of charge visa for a single visit upon arrival in the UAE. It should be noted that this list may vary slightly from time to time and it is therefore best to check with your local UAE embassy or the airline that you are using to fly to the UAE.
Visa application prior to arrival
All nationalities other than the above 33 nationalities require to apply and obtain a visa prior to arrival in the UAE.
Visa application procedure
- When applying for a visa it is essential to have a hotel booking done through MCI. Only once this is done can MCI process a visa for you from that concerned hotel. Without a prior hotel booking done it will be impossible for us to process a visa
- Please complete the Visa Application Form with all details required and send it as an attachment along with a scanned copy of your passport ( first 3 pages and last page), coloured passport size photo (white background) to 3MUnitek2011@mci-group.com or fax to: +971 (0)4 311 6301
- If more that one person is traveling on one passport (such as a parent and children under 12 years of age) please clearly specify on the form under "Special Request", providing the name of the child and date of birth. (Visa will be charged only per passport for the parent only)
- Once the visa is approved, a copy will be faxed or emailed to you and the same has to be submitted by you to the immigration upon your arrival.
- The last date to apply for a visa is 4th February 2011. Kindly send in all visa applications prior to this date to ensure for smooth processing of your visa.
Special Notes
- The passport should be valid for 03 months or more prior to the date of travel.
- Visa is valid for one single entry only.
- Visa will only be issued 15 to 7 days prior to the arrival and faxed or emailed to you.
- Acknowledgement of receipt of the visa copy is mandatory.
- Working days in UAE are from Sunday to Thursday. (Friday & Saturday is the weekend).
- All relevant visa documents are required to be sent to MCI Dubai a minimum of 12 weeks in advance to ensure a smooth processing of the Visa.
- Visa fees are payable in full in advance and if rejected by immigration authorities, the amount is non – refundable.
- All visas are valid for arrival and departure at Dubai airport only.
